Wherever your job may take you
We supply aggregate and move freight wherever your job may take you. Our supplier and carrier network runs deepest across Texas and the Gulf, and reaches nationwide from there.
Sourcing from pits and quarries
Freight is one of the biggest factors in the delivered cost of aggregate. On many projects, transportation costs more than the material itself, so every additional loaded mile matters.
Donithan Logistics sources from the closest qualified pits and quarries that meet your project specifications. Unlike suppliers limited to their own locations, we select the best source for each job, helping reduce haul distances, control delivered costs, and keep materials moving.
If your site has rail access, tell us early
A rail-served plant, terminal, or industrial spur can significantly change the economics of a high-volume project. A single gondola rail car can carry approximately four truckloads of material. Over longer distances, those transportation savings can offset transloading costs and still reduce the total delivered price.
If your site does not have rail access, rail may still be used for the long-haul portion. We can coordinate transloading from railcars to trucks for final-mile delivery, compare it with an all-truck option, and show you which approach makes the most financial and operational sense.

Why we ask for the delivery ZIP first
Short haul
Under about 30 miles the freight is a modest share of the delivered price and truck rotations are quick. Material choice drives the number.
Medium haul
Thirty to a hundred miles is where pit selection earns its keep. A slightly higher priced rock from a much closer pit often lands cheaper.
Long haul and rail
Beyond about a hundred miles, on sustained volume, rail starts to compete hard with trucks. This is the point worth a phone call.
Distance bands are general guidance, not a rate card. Terrain, backhaul availability, fuel and how tight your schedule is all move the real number.
